The Sisterhood Foundation is driving meaningful change by partnering with charities that support women and girls across Australia to lead more healthy lives.

Through ongoing donations, strategic partnerships, and a shared commitment to equity, we fund capacity building initiatives that, in turn, enable charities to provide more essential services, education, and opportunities. Each year, our charity partners reach millions of women and girls—empowering them to thrive, lead, and shape their future health and wellbeing with confidence.

SOCIAL IMPACT

The Foundation wants to understand the actions and changes needed to have an impact on the health and wellbeing of Australian women and girls.

Theory of Change

The Foundation measures impact using a Theory of Change that has been co-designed with input from the Sisterhood’s Charity Partner CEOs.

report to community

Each year, the Sisterhood Foundation reports back to the community it serves.  Key statistics from our FY25 report are:

  • Eight charity partners supported in FY25
  • Our charity partners worked with nearly 10 million women and girls in FY25
  • More than 5,679 community volunteers gave their precious time to help our charity partners in FY25
  • Over $13.7M raised from 2011 until June 2025

research

In FY25, the Sisterhood commissioned Monash University to do some research into the “silent” and overlooked health issues faced by Australian women and girls so that we would be better informed when making future funding decisions.

The Women Deserve Better report found that Australian women often feel dismissed when it comes to their health. They want gender responsive, affordable and accessible healthcare. Australian women also want more funding and better understanding for all women’s health issues.

case studies

The Foundation uses case studies to illustrate successful partnerships.

The Sisterhood Foundation provides funding to pay for essential projects that will strengthen the capacity of each Charity Partner to improve the health and wellbeing of Australian women and girls.

A two-year funding commitment from the Sisterhood enabled SisterWorks to implement a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Although this doesn’t sound glamorous(!), this extremely useful tool (which is often too expensive for charities to purchase and use) allows SisterWorks to work smarter not harder. It helps to better manage donors, maintain relationships with “Sisters” who have completed a SisterWorks training course and provide data analysis and insights so the business can be run more efficiently.
