What is the purpose of this policy statement

Sisterhood Foundation Limited (as trustee for the Sisterhood Foundation) (“Sisterhood Foundation”, “we”, “us” or “our”) recognises the importance of privacy issues. This Privacy Policy briefly tells you how we manage the personal information that we collect, hold, use and disclose and how to contact us if you have any queries or complaints. This Privacy Policy is to be read subject to any overriding provisions of law or contract.

Background

The Sisterhood Foundation undertakes public charitable activities with the purpose of raising funds for the charities it supports. In undertaking these activities, we may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information (as defined under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)).

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information of individuals who are external to the Sisterhood Foundation such as our donors, fundraisers, suppliers, volunteers, supporters, prospective supporters, subscribers to our newsletters, participants in activities or programs that we organise and others (referred to as “you” in this Privacy Policy).

Transfer of personal information overseas

Sometimes, we will disclose your personal information to overseas recipients, including contractors and service providers who provide services to us, who may be subject to different privacy regimes. These recipients are located in the following countries – the United States, Chile, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Finland, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.

We hold personal information electronically and in hard copy form, both at our business premises and with the assistance of our service providers.
